This year was my first year to have an ‘actual’ garden.  It did ok…but my compost actually produced more produce then my garden did.  Last year I had thrown some old pumpkins into the compost and this spring a large pumpkin plant came up.  It got to the point that the entire vine was about 10 feet by 10 feet…and starting to take over our backyard.

Long story short, the moles ate all the roots and the plant died, but I was able to save most of the baby pumpkins (about 30).  That was in late July or early August…and they were still sitting in my house in a bowl.  So I decided it was finally time to do something with them.  I got a few lighters and my old crayons and went to town on those pumpkins!  I think they turned out super cute.  Let me know what you think :)
