Me and messenger bags have a special kind of friendship! I can’t even remember how many I’ve owned over the years.
I made a messenger bag tutorial a couple of years ago and recently decided I wanted to make another one. The new one is for a smaller bag with a divider inside so an e-reader or book can be carried along with your basic purse items.
I really love how the bag came out. I also had a lot of fun coming up with strap ideas. I don’t really enjoy making purse straps so for my first crossbody I cut a strap off an older, unwanted bag. For the one in the tutorial I used a dog leash purchased from Dollar Tree. It was so easy and for only $1, it was much better than making a strap.
